The Venue

Ballykealey House is your perfect location to celebrate your wedding day. Built in the 19th century arising from the marriage proposal of John James Lecky to Sarah Lucia Smith. Built with love; today offers a picturesque and enchanting venue for couples seeking a unique venue to host their wedding.

Exclusive use of the manor house is available for couples would like the house to themselves, but this is not a requirement to host your wedding in Ballykealey House.

We welcome you and your guests to your drinks reception in the manor house or weather permitting in one of our outdoor locations.

We can hold up to 275 people in our ballroom suite. For smaller wedding celebrations we have the magnificent Oak Room with original Tudor architecture and magnificent oak carved panels and Cobden Suite both offer something different depending on your numbers.

The manor house has 12 individually appointed rooms outside the house we have 2 courtyard suites and 15 self-catering lodges adjacent to the manor, providing accommodation for up to 105 guests onsite, we also work closely with local accommodation transport suppliers all within 15 minutes of Ballykealey House to ensure all your guests are looked after.

Ballykealey provides the perfect backdrop and diversity in every season for wonderful photographs that you will have forever.

Situated just outside the picturesque village of Ballon, Co Carlow just one hour south of Dublin, getting married in the house or in the local church or indeed in Dublin and travelling down after the ceremony, are all viable options.
