The Chocolate Garden of Ireland

The Chocolate Garden of Ireland is a working chocolate and ice cream factory making fine handmade luxury chocolates and premium ice cream. Outside workshop times, chocolate mould making is available daily on a walk-in basis. Customers can enjoy making and decorating their own chocolate product mould, while enjoying a complimentary ice cream as they wait for the mould to set.

Delicious award-winning coffee, ice cream and chocolate is served in the coffee shop on site and if you like hot chocolate – this is quite simply the best!

Altamount Gardens

Altamont Gardens near Tullow, Co. Carlow known as the most romantic garden in Ireland. It is an enchanting blend of formal and informal gardens located on a 100 acre estate. Whilst still unknown, it is ranks in the top ten of Irish gardens and is often referred to as ‘the jewel in Ireland’s gardening crown”.

A fascinating walk through the Arboretum, Bog Garden and Ice Age Glen with its canopy of ancient oaks leads to the majestic River Slaney. On your return via the Hill Walk, there are wonderful views of the Blackstairs and Wicklow Mountains and Mount Leinster.

Rancho Reilly Pet Farm

Rancho Reilly is a family run Pet Farm and Children’s Activity Centre in Carlow which is well known for its school tours, birthday parties and families day out. There is something for everyone at Rancho Reilly so bring a picnic and make a day of it.

Relax with some homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches and snacks from the coffee shop and keep an eye on the kids having fun on a Pony Ride, a trip on the Rancho Reilly Barrel Train, obstacle course, sunken trampolines, go karts, tractors, scooters and bikes.
